Kidd Carter is the President of Blue Ridge Entertainment and does all of the behind the scenes day to day operations to keep us rolling. He’s likely the first person you’ll speak to when inquiring about our services.
Kidd is the 2nd longest tenured DJ on the K92 staff, starting in 2003 and still on air on Sundays…and has used his background in music and public speaking to host hundreds of weddings all over Southwest Virginia. Although he has semi “retired” from hosting events, he still has a huge role in training our new DJ’s and making sure our current DJ’s have everything they need to continue entertaining at guests at events all over our area.

DJ Ian can be heard locally via the radio on WFIR News Talk and Star Country. He’s been with Blue Ridge Entertainment since 2017. Outside of weddings, company parties, or birthday parties. I found my passion for DJing through my time working in radio at K92 and by always being the go-to music person at college parties. After several years of experience, I now specialize in weddings and love helping couples celebrate one of the most special days of their lives.

DJ Jake Webb has it all. Charm, charisma and he’s usually the best dressed in the room when he’s playing. One of our Platinum Level talents, he can DJ any type of function, but his passion is weddings.
A local homegrown DJ, as Sam graduated high school as a Homeschooler in 2023. He brings a good bit of youth to our group, and being younger he’s very well connected with today’s hits and the songs that you love to dance to!
Currently Sam is a member of the Blue Ridge Photobooth team and has been a key part of the growth of our company. The younger brother of DJ Jake, Sam has been shadowing at weddings and learning the ropes so he can be the next man up and entertain big crowds at his own gigs.
When he’s not working on his playlists and music libraries, Sam spends some of his spare time playing guitar and bowling. His favorite TV shows are “Peaky Blinders” and “The last Kingdom” and his favorite style of music is classic rock. Some of his favorite artists include The Rolling Stones, The Heavy, and the Black Keys.
Since Sam is one of our newer DJ’s, his rates are very good and attractive for smaller wedding budgets. We have set him up with a very nice state of the art sound system and lighting rig, and we’re anxious to get him booked on more weddings in our area. Ask about Sam Webb and get him for your event!
Our DJ, Sam, was fantastic! He and Kidd were both super easy to work with, very detail oriented and thorough, and really kept things moving along in an orderly fashion while still keeping it light and fun. Sam didn’t miss a single beat, even when my husband missed our cake cutting song because he was in the restroom, lol! Sam just adapted us to a different song and kept it moving. Would 100% recommend Blue Ridge Entertainment to anyone in need of a good DJ, they made our wedding so much fun!

Meet the newest addition to the BRE team, DJ Josh Richards (DJ J-Rich)
A native to the SW Virginia area, Josh is a graduate of Franklin County High School in Rocky Mount. Although Josh is new to our team, he’s no stranger to DJ work as he started in 2021 as a hobby and became a Pro in 2023. He’s excited to elevate his skills to the wedding side of the business.
Josh is a lover of all music, but if you ask him his favorite, he would tell you Country music is his thing…however just like at any event, the client dictates the type of music played. If you’re more a fan of hip hop, DJ J-Rich will be happy to get the crowd jumping with the biggest hits in hip hop. If it’s Pop music that you’re in to, consider it done. When he’s choosing his own style to listen to, it’s likely a mix of Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and classics from Waylon Jennings and Conway Twitty.
Josh currently lives in Boones Mill and enjoys spending time with his furry friend, his dog Chester.
We asked J-Rich his favorite part of DJ work and his response was “Giving people what they want to hear and watching them go crazy!”
